Complex interview with rick williams

If you’re a sneakerhead, read-on. If not, do so anyway and learn about one of the good guys in the sneaker game. Rick Williams, owner of Burn Rubber (boutique in Detroit), talks about his experiences designing sneakers. One of my favorite things is that he talks about telling a story. So much about sneakers is about stories and that’s not something that’s appreciated enough. Behind every sneaker should be a story. It doesn’t need to be some crazy, elaborate story, but something that inspires and explains. Read here

Behind the Scenes of the Reebok Instapump Fury

Call me a homer, and one with a bit of a biased opinion, but these images are awesome. For any true sneakerhead, the Reebok Instapump Fury is an iconic shoe that was years ahead of its time. From the design to the inflatable IV Bladder bag, the shoe is unique and visually appealing. It takes a certain person and fashion-type to be able to rock them, but they’re still dope. Check out this story that Sneaker Freaker Mag ran, as one of their editors was given access to the factory over in China.
